Debankur brings more than 15 years of teaching/research/corporate experience having worked in Fortune 100 MNC for a major portion of it (13+ years).
Prior to heading Fil-O-Noé, Debankur was Leader: Training & Learning at GE Global Research, Bangalore [John F. Welch Technology Center] for the Patents & Analytics Centre of Excellence [PACE] Team [2014], leading and managing the training & learning need of the organization, which had more than 100 IP Professionals. Prior to this, Debankur worked in the capacity of IP Analyst in GE Global Research, Bangalore [2003] & SABIC India, Bangalore [2013] with progressively increased responsibility, for >10 years, doing hands on Patent/IP Searches & Analytics and Patent Based IP Studies in the field of Chemistry, Materials & Polymer Science.
He is a certified IP Analyst from GE Global Research, USA, a Certified Patent Information Specialist from GO Opleidingen, NL [WON] and a Certified Patent Valuation Analyst from Business Development Academy, USA. Having also attended trainings on IP & allied fields from the Patent Resources Group, USA, Frost & Sullivan, UK, and Institute for Competitive Intelligence, Germany, he brings a process driven approach, IP-Technology-Business-Law connectivity, strong IP & Technology background, business functions know-how and excellent communication skills with a proven ability to Coach & Mentor.
Debankur holds a Masters [M.Tech.] in Polymer Science & Technology and a B.Sc. [with Honours] in Chemistry, from the University of Calcutta, India. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt from GE, USA.

Swapna brings with her over 15 years of industrial experience in Intellectual Property, particularly patents.
Swapna worked at GE for over 8 years. She has worked closely with technology and legal teams to develop patenting strategies and have drafted over 120 US patent applications and over 200 USPTO Office Action responses across technology domains. She has been involved in and has conducted extensive training and mentoring to IP/R&D professionals covering various aspects of IP. A polymer chemist by background, Swapna has worked in a wide variety of technology areas ranging from chemistry and materials, energy, water purification and separation, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and life-sciences.
She has been trained in US Patent laws and rules by US Attorneys and is a certified searcher by WON (GO). She is a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and an M.Sc. from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.

Sugantha brings over 15 years of Industrial experience IP rights, competitive intelligence and innovation management.
Prior to her stint in GE, Sugantha worked in University of Colorado at Boulder and NIST, Boulder as a post-doctoral fellow. She has experience in building and managing teams and research labs.
A materials scientist by background, she has worked in a number of projects related to Energy and Healthcare.
She has obtained her Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and M.Sc. from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. Sugantha is also trained in US Patent laws and rules and is a certified searcher by WON (GO).
